ECOLOGICAL, IT’S AN EXCEPTIONAL SNEAKER
It’s a running shoe with a lot of meaning: 100% Made in France, inner lining made of recycled cotton and fiber, reinforced by leather tanned with a process using plants, a “breathing” inner sole, as well as a logo which is hot marked and a tone on tone butterfly. In town and in the country, you will no longer be able to do without your Low Canvas sneaker. Its canvas in recycled cotton grown without pesticides give this sneaker its elegance, comfort and the resistance that can be expected of it, in all circumstances.
A CLASSY AND YET SIMPLE LOOK
The tone on tone butterfly gives it this incomparable, stylish look. For our first pair made of recycled materials, we use hot marking without any chemical additives. As such, our butterfly incarnates the nobility it portrays, the origin of which is to be found in the purest traditions of fabrication, 100% created and made in France. This is perfectly conducive to the image of our brand.
Ultimate cleanliness
Made in Spain, our new soles excelling in cleanliness are covered with calf leather. They are conceived to take on the form of your foot and absorb shocks.
These soles improve plantar hygiene by favoring air ventilation. In other words, the sneakers can be worn barefoot, while keeping your feet dry.
Removable, this sole can be easily replaced if necessary.
Outer sole
For Baron Papillon, Paris is personified by the Place de l’Etoile. Our sole maintains its unique design, scrupulously tracing this iconic traffic circle and the avenues that access it.
Our specifications sheet is quite demanding: recycle 75% of the rubber chips, of which 20% comes from natural rubber and 5% from synthetic rubber.
The high abrasion coefficient guarantees that your sneakers will be long lasting. Its height of 3 cm protects the upper lining from rubbing.
A FRENCH HERITAGE:
Handicraft work and well thought-out production
Concerned about environmental problems, we have always wanted sneakers which are both elegant and astute, perfect for today’s slow fashion movement. We adhere to the principle of "zero destruction" for our unsold stock and we continue to develop creative processes, privileging European materials which are truly respectful of the environment, while associating ourselves with ecological collaborative projects.
True quality fabrication
Upstream, we are working on the development of the first prototypes in
Montjean-sur-Loire:
- Final drawing and choice of materials by our artistic director Eric Gallais
- First prototype in the design office
- Once this one is validated, we move on to the stitching stage, i.e. the production of the rods
Then it is the assembly of the soles with the stem:
- Hot glued with a machine specially designed for our Barons
- Cold sewn with the sewing machine of our grandmothers
Finally the final preparation :
- Inserting the laces
- Putting in place of the herbal sole
- Recovery of the upcycled boxes to put our sneakers in
By manufacturing in France, we shorten our production time, we reduce our carbon footprint, we contribute to strengthen our local expertise. And we are proud of our know-how.
Attractive and responsible, an example of up-cycling
What makes us conscious of our environment?
Production which is 100% made in France. We have recently adopted boxes made of recycled cardboard, also made in France at our La Roche-sur-Yon site. Lighter, they enable us to further reduce our environmental impact and our carbon footprint linked to transport. As long as you’re lightening your footprint – even if it’s a carbon footprint – what better way to do it than with our
sneakers!
